Partner School Initiative (PASCH)
The Partner School Initiative or better known in German as "Partner Schule" (PASCH) was launched by the then Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, at the German School in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2008.
The objective behind this initiative is to create understanding among schools, to gain access to the German language, enable training and to arouse more interest in the affairs of modern Germany.
The PASCH initiative has create ad network of more than 1000 partner schools worldwide. The PASCH-program also seeks to establish long term connections with Germany by an exchange of experiences between teachers and students with the aim to foster co-operation among one another.
The program is co-ordinated by the German Federal Foreign Office and implemented by the Centre for International Education, together with the Goethe Institute, the Education Exchange Service of the Education Minister's Cultural Conference and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

For two weeks, the participants have been bravely battling their way through adjective declensions and nominal constructions – but above all, they have proved their intercultural skills and made friends from all over the world. A ceremony was held at the Federal Foreign Office on Friday (29 July 2016) to pay tribute to the participants and winners of this year’s International German Olympics.

At our partner schools abroad we not only desire to provide students with access to our language and education system, we also want to generate interest in and understanding for one another. In February 2008 the Federal Foreign Office launched the “Schools: Partners for the Future” (PASCH) initiative. The aim of PASCH is to create and strengthen a global network of some 1500 partner schools with special links to Germany.
