In 1958 the Federal Republic of Germany opened its Embassy in Kathmandu. Since then, German as well as Nepali Diplomats engaged in strengthening close and friendly ties between Nepal and Germany. Looking back at these 60 years today, we are delighted by the partnership that has evolved out of these mutual efforts - political, cultural or in terms of development cooperation.
In 2018, we are looking forward to celebrating these 60 years of diplomatic relations between our two countries. In order to give this occasion a symbol to be recognized, we invite you to submit a draft for the design of a Logo for the 60 years anniversary.
German-Nepali-Relations, a strong partnership – Then and Now
The Logo should reflect a European-oriented Germany and a modern and progressive Nepal, two countries now focusing on the next 60 years by keeping in mind the achievements of the last 60. How can Germany and Nepal work together to strengthening a democratic independent Nepal? In which way will new ideas for economic growth and partnership be developed as well as sociopolitical issues be discussed?
Participation is possible under the following conditions:
- Draft needs to be submitted in paper to the Embassy’s address or per Email to kath%27%diplo%27%de,pr-10
- By submitting the draft, the designer agrees to allow the German Embassy, it’s partner organizations as well as the Government of Nepal unrestricted use/multiplication of the Logo for free
- The copyright would stay with the designer and be mentioned
Drafts can be submitted until 1st of March 2018.
The winner will be informed by the German Embassy and the chosen Logo will be revealed in a ceremony at the Ambassador’s residency in the presence of multiple Guests.
Also the winner’s efforts will be remunerated financially with 50.000,- NRS sponsored by Goethe Zentrum Kathmandu.
The German Embassy is looking forward to lively participation and numerous creative proposals.
