Handover of checks for seven small-scale projects in 2017

On 10 August 2017, the German Embassy Kathmandu handed over checks summing up to a total budget of about 100.000 € to seven small-scale projects. They are aiming to improve the living conditions of the poor and poorest and to enhance women’s equality. By supporting small-scale projects the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Kathmandu is able to conduct projects on a local level to improve the living conditions of the population at site. In 2017 the following projects are supported:

·         Dental chair and Dental material for Peshala Medical Center (PMC)

·         Solar panel and inverter for Reiyukai Eiko Masunaga Eye Hospital

·         Strengthening Community for Essential Environmental conservation by “Youth for Change and Sustainable Development“

·         Women Empowerment and Livelihood Improvement by “Group of Helping Hands (SAHAS) Nepal”

·         Goat Village Nuwakot by “Sakcham Rural Nepal”

·         Medical Equipment for “Burns Violence Survivors (BVS) Nepal”

·         Rain Water Harvesting Programme by the ”Community Improvement Forum (CIF)”
