12 July 2016: Ms. Jacqueline Groth, Deputy Chief of Mission and Head of Development Cooperation at the German Embassy, and Mr. Bishwa Prakash Subedi, Chief District Officer of Dhading, jointly inaugurated the new health post in Muralibhanjyang. Additionally, another completed health post in Dhola was handed over to the District Health Office.
Both pre-fabricated buildings were constructed by the Nepal-German Recovery Programme after being severely damaged by the earthquake of April 2015. About 18.000 residents have now access to medical care services. This is a major step towards re-establishing basis health care services in Dhading district, which was severely impacted by the disaster last year. In total, German-Nepal development cooperation supports 37 prefabricated health posts as well as the reconstruction of four district hospitals.
