Step 1:

Please prepare the necessary documentation for your visa application using the following checklists:

Step 2:

Please produce photos which meet the 

biometric photos requirements [pdf, 2,199.76k]

Step 3:

Please fill out the Application form for National Visa [pdf, 210.92k] print it, sign it and submit it along with the other documents.

To complete the documentation, please make sure the Declaration on true and complete information which is attached to the application form is also duly signed.

Step 4:

Now you can schedule an appointment for your visa interview at the German Embassy.

Make sure you submit the complete documentation at your visa interview.

Step 5:

Before your appointment, please verify the current exchange rate for your visa fee at the Embassy's information board.

Please pay attention: There are new timings for the collection of your passports: With immediate effect collection time for your passports is as follows: Monday and Wednesday from 2.00 - 3.00 p.m. /  Friday from 1.00 - 2.00 p.m. Family members of EU Nationals who require consular assistance or want to apply for a visa should contact the Embassy for arranging an appointment in advance.

Family reunion to recognized Syrian refugees


Family members of recognized Syrian refugees may submit their applications for family reunion at the German Missions in the neighboring countries of Syria.

Syrian nationals can only apply for family reunion to a recognized Syrian refugee at the Embassy in Kathmandu if they have been residing in Nepal for at least six months.
